Who We Are

Rinku is an ad campaign tracking and optimization platform for media buyers and performance marketers, accessible at rinku.cc and app.rinku.cc.

In the context of this Privacy Policy, Rinku acts as the data controller for the personal data of registered Clients. For End User data processed through your tracking campaigns, you (our Client) are the data controller and Rinku acts as the data processor on your behalf.

Contact: support@rinku.cc

02

What Data We Collect

We collect data in two distinct contexts:

A. Account and Client Data — data you provide directly when registering and using the platform:

Data typeExamplesHow collected

B. End User Tracking Data — data collected through your tracking URLs. See Section 4.

03

How We Use Your Data

We use your account and usage data for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: Processing tracking requests, storing analytics, running auto-optimization rules, and providing all platform features
  • Account management: Authentication, billing, subscription management, and plan limit enforcement
  • Service improvements: Analyzing aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve platform performance
  • Communication: Sending transactional emails (billing alerts, feature updates, overage notifications)
  • Security: Detecting and preventing fraudulent or abusive use of the platform
  • Legal compliance: Fulfilling obligations under applicable laws

We do not use your data for targeted advertising and do not sell it to third parties.

04

End User Data and Tracking

When an End User clicks on a link tracked by Rinku, our system processes the following data to generate analytics:

  • IP address (used for geo-location; not stored in full by default)
  • User agent string (browser, OS, device type)
  • Referrer URL
  • Click timestamp
  • Custom token parameter values passed in the tracking URL (up to 30 parameters)
  • Conversion postback data sent by your affiliate network (click ID, event type, payout)
Rinku does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from End Users — no names, emails, or identity data. We process statistical and technical data only. We have no means to identify the personal identity of an End User from the data we process.

As a Client, you are the data controller for End User data and are responsible for providing appropriate privacy notices, obtaining required consents, and ensuring lawful tracking in all jurisdictions where your campaigns run.

End User tracking data is stored for the duration of your plan's retention period (Basic: 6 months · Expert: 18 months · Self-Hosted: determined by your setup) and then permanently deleted.

05

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your data or your End Users' data. We share data only in limited circumstances:

  • Infrastructure providers: Cloud hosting providers run the Service under data processing agreements. They have no independent access to your data.
  • Payment processors: Billing data is handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card details.
  • Ad network API: When you connect ad network accounts and configure auto-optimization rules, Rinku sends API requests to those networks (Propeller Ads, Adsterra, ExoClick, Traffic Stars, Galaksion, HilltopAds, RichAds) on your behalf. Data sent is limited to what is necessary to execute your configured action (e.g., zone IDs to block).
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business transfers: In a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the acquiring entity with advance notice.

07

Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
  • Regular security reviews and monitoring
  • Isolated data environments per account

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required by applicable law.

08

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies on rinku.cc and app.rinku.cc for:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management.
  • Analytics cookies: Aggregated, anonymized platform usage data to help us improve the Service.
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings across sessions.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies on our platform.

Note on campaign tracking: Rinku's tracking mechanism uses a click ID passed in the URL, not browser cookies. This is more privacy-friendly and works in browsers with strict cookie policies (Safari ITP, Firefox ETP, etc.).
09
